Our blankets are made by Stan 3 Limited, a company started by master weaaver Boyan Stoimenov. Boyan worked in the 1970's and 1980's for Nacho Stanov, one of Bulgaria's large state-owned textile mills.

It was while working there that he met his wife, Neda Bisserova. He later left the factory to become a Master Teacher of Textile Arts in Bulgaria's capital city, Sofia.

When the state-owned factories closed following the collapse of the communist system, Boyan and his wife decided to preserve Bulgaria's fine woolen craftmanship - by starting their own small factory in Lozen, their village located just outside of the capital city.

In 2001, they purchased a much larger facility with modern spinning and weaving equipment. This new factory has given them the ability to train and hire more workers and to begin exporting their blankets to the United States.
